Sam’s evening forecast 3/30/19
Decreasing snow flurries across the I-25 corridor this evening. Colorado Springs will turn partly cloudy with temperatures down to about 20. Overnight light snow is expected in the southwest mountains where a few winter weather advisories start early tomorrow morning. Most of the heavy snow will be above 9,000ft through the day Sunday. Speaking of Sunday, Colorado Springs will start off the day with a little bit of sunshine. Nothing spectacular though, expect mostly cloudy skies to return relatively fast in the afternoon. With the increased cloud coverage, will come the chance for a few rain and snow showers. With high temperatures in the mid 40’s it’s a tough call on what type of precipitation we’ll actually see, and it really depends where you are. Monument and the Black Forest area, being higher in elevation I’d put my money on a few snow flurries. Do I expect anything significant? No. These showers will be short-lived and won’t cause too many inconveniences. If I were going on a hike, I’d wear layers and pack a rain jacket just in case.
