Armed suspect robs food delivery driver in Colorado Springs

Police are looking into an armed robbery that happened in northeast Colorado Springs Monday night.

According to authorities, a delivery driver was completing an order in the 4900 block of El Camino Drive when he was approached by two men.

The driver was waiting in his vehicle for the customer to pick-up the order when the suspects entered his vehicle and robbed him of cash, a cellphone, property and the food order. During the robbery, the delivery driver was struck in the face by one of the suspects and sustained minor facial injuries.

The suspects left on the scene on foot and police were unable to locate them. They are described as late teenage African American males, they were wearing dark clothing and one of the suspects with armed with a black and silver handgun.
