Pueblo law enforcement takes the Polar Plunge for the 4th year in a row

Our recent snow and cold didn’t deter thrill seekers from taking the plunge Saturday morning.

Members of law enforcement and the community took part in the Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office 4th annual Polar Plunge at Lake Pueblo State Park Saturday morning.

Team members raised money through donations and pledges which allowed them to take the icy plunge.

All the money raised will go to the Special Olympics.

“A lot of people don’t realize how much it means to help us with what we do and our team specifically, because a lot of people don’t know what it takes to put on a team and practice and stuff like that. It really helps us out,” AJ Ramos with Special Olympics said.

Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office said a total of $14,450 was raised. Donations can still be made here.
