Air Force begins “spring” football

This is what spring football looks like at Air Force. Snow covered mountains, snow covered feilds so for the first day they went indoors, much to the players delight, “I thought about that today. If we were playing a game this week we would be outside for sure. I know we did that last year but because we are not playing we focusing on the mental side of things. Being outside is not going to contribute to that as much as being inside. We have these nice facilities we are going to use the,” says Kyle Johnson.

There is however a fall football feeling inside the Halladay Center thanks in large part to this hole that was caused by wind damage, “I heard there was something wrong in the HACK so I figured we would be on the lacrosse field or something,” says Cole Fagan.

Players feel like there has been a hole that they need to fill after not playing in a bowl game in two years, “We had an attiude last year and I think it is going to roll into this year. The losing record thing came down to a certain play or two. You can just tell by the record for the scores how close each of those was. How close we were to winning ten or nine games,” says Johnson, “Without the bowl game it was a really long off season. Yeah me and Kyle were just talking in the locker room how excited we are to strap it up and get back out on the field,” added Fagan. >>
