Lingering Snow Showers Tuesday 2-18-19

TONIGHT: Snow showers return this evening making for slick to snow-covered roads overnight. Winter weather advisories in El Paso County expire at 6 p.m. Tuesday. Additional snowfall accumulation 1-3″ will be possible with closer to 2-4″ likely south of Colorado Springs around Fountain and Hanover. The big story tonight and tomorrow morning will be the cold temperatures hovering in the teens and single digits with below zero wind chills.

TOMORROW: Off and on snow showers possible through the afternoon with the highest possibility coming through by the evening for the I-25 corridor from Monument south into Colorado Springs. Mostly cloudy skies with temperatures just slightly warmer than today as Colorado Springs will get to about 19. Winds remain light at 5-10 mph.

EXTENDED: The snow showers push east of Colorado by Wednesday morning. Conditions improve drastically during the day as we’ll see increasing sunshine sunshine and high temperatures back into the 30s. Next chance of snow is looking to be Thursday night through Friday morning
