Colorado Springs police use vehicles to stop shooting suspect
Dramatic video caught the moment that several Colorado Springs police officers used their vehicles to stop a suspect accused of shooting another man in the head.
The chase happened Sunday and a video by KRDO viewer Lissette Mena showed the officers corner the suspect on Powers near Platte Ave. Monday, he was identified as Daniel Bush.
Police told KRDO Sunday that the suspect was wanted in connection with the shooting of another man Tuesday morning.
According to a police report, two people were “involved in a disturbance” when one pulled out a handgun and shot the other in the head on Platte Ave. The victim ended up walking away and was taken to the hospital. The suspect, identified by police as Bush, drove away.
On Sunday, officers found Bush near Marion Drive and Academy Blvd. and tried to stop him, but he fled. The chase ended shortly after that, as seen in the video above.
Bush and three officers were taken to a hospital, and they’ve all been treated. Bush is facing an “attempted second-degree homicide” charge for the shooting, and he’ll undoubtedly be criminally charged for the chase.
