The Pine Creek hockey team is a team on the rise
Two years removed from being ranked dead last in Colorado High School hockey, the Pine Creek hockey team is rising like a Phoenix, “I think just hard work, we worked really hard during the fall season everything was clicking and it just seems like everything’s in a good flow right nom,” says Alex Brooks.
They’re now in the top ten according to CHSAA’s RPI and headed to the playoffs for a second year in a row, “I think we kinda came in there with a ‘they’ll walk all over us’ type of thing. We didn’t really have that type of fire to play with them,” says Brooks.
Last year, Kent Denver cut Pine Creek’s post season short with and 8-1 first round exit but that loss became fuel for the Eagles fire, “It all comes down within the heart, hockey is all in the heart, you gotta have passion for the game,” says Austin Gipson.
