Colorado State Patrol trooper hit while investigating traffic crash
The Colorado State Patrol says a trooper was hit by a vehicle Friday while investigating a crash in Lakewood.
CSP says the trooper was taken to the hospital with “serious injuries,” but will be OK.
The crash happened while the trooper was outside of his patrol car near the intersection of Wadsworth and Hwy 285. (MAP)
It’s not clear if anyone has been arrested after the crash.
It comes on the same day that a mistrial was declared in the case of Trooper Cody Donahue’s death. Donahue was killed when he was hit by a truck driven by Noe Gamez-Ruiz on Interstate 25 south of Castle Rock back in 2016. That incident inspired the Move Over for Cody Act.
