Kelsie Schelling’s family doubles reward money for a limited time
The family of Kelsie Schelling is doubling the reward money for anyone with information regarding her whereabouts.
For a limited time, the family will be raising the reward amount from $50,000 to $100,000.
Back in 2013, then 21-year-old Kelsie Schelling drove down from Denver to Pueblo to meet with her boyfriend. Schelling hasn’t been seen since.
Investigators believe she was pregnant at the time and is presumed dead.
Former Pueblo Central basketball star and boyfriend Donthe Lucas stands accused of killing Schelling. His trial is currently set for April.
Laura Saxton, Schelling’s mother, says the funds were raised solely by her and Kelsie’s father.
The $100,000 reward is only good for the month of February to honor Kelsie’s 28th birthday and the 6th anniversary of her disappearance.
The family says they presume their daughter is dead, but they hope to find her body and prosecute Lucas.
This increase in reward money will end March 1.
