Controlled burn near Divide creating smoke visible from Woodland Park

The United States Forest Service says fire crews are conducting controlled burns Thursday near Divide, and smoke may be visible from Woodland Park and other areas in Teller County.

Crews will burn piles a few miles north of Divide off of Forest Road 357. (MAP) If you see the smoke coming from that area, don’t call to report it.

USFS officials haven’t said how long the burns will last.

Today #PikesPeakRD fire crews will be conducting pile burning approx 4.5 miles north of Divide off forest road 357. Smoke will be visible from Divide, Woodland Park and surrounding areas.
