Tranquil Weather Continues 1-30-19
TONIGHT: Overnight lows in much of Southeastern Colorado won’t be as cold due to the continuation of partly cloudy skies. Temps fall to the teens and 20s except for high mountain valleys, which stay near 20 below zero.
TOMORROW: Temps are even a little milder tomorrow with mostly sunny skies. Highs jump to the 40s and 50s. Overall, tranquil weather conditions will continue.
EXTENDED: We keep warming and stay dry through the end of the week. In fact, by Friday and Saturday temperatures will be in the 50s to low 60s. Strong downsloping winds kick in on Sunday keeping temps in the 40s and 50s. Plenty of clouds will arrive but most of the lower elevations stay dry. Meanwhile snow is expected in the High Country with a few snow showers possible in our local mountain cities. Winds are likely to gust near 50 mph across the Plains which may increase the fire danger. Conditions look quieter Monday before another storm system pushes in Tuesday bringing wind driven snow to the High Country. A couple of snow showers will be possible across the lower elevations on Tuesday.
