Drivers experience slick Monday morning commute as snow moves in
Drivers experienced snowy roads and extended drive times Monday after a winter band moved its way south.
At 8:30 a.m. the drive time from Downtown Colorado Springs to Downtown Denver was 227 minutes, or almost four hours. That commute time eased up as the afternoon brought out the sun to melt the snow.
The City of Colorado Springs and Fountain were placed on Accident Alert status early, but CSPD was no longer on accident alert status as of 1 p.m.
