2 Denver police officers injured in shooting, suspect in custody
Update: It’s been reported that the suspect is in custody.
Previous Story: As of around 5:3 p.m. Sunday, flames were seen coming from the home of the suspect believed to have shot two Denver police officers earlier in the day. The suspect is believed to be inside the home.
According to our media partners at KDVR, the Denver Police Department is urging residents near 6th and Inca to stay inside with their windows and doors shut. They say officers plan to deploy a chemical agent.
KDVR reports, at this time, 6th Avenue is shut down past Kalamath Street. Santa Fe Drive is closed at West 5th Avenue.

Denver 7 reports an informed source told them that one cop was shot in the abdomen and the other was shot in the leg — both expecting to be OK.
Police were asking residents to avoid the areas around 6 th and 7 th Avenues, Santa Fe Drive and Galapago Street. Santa Fe Drive is closed at 5th Ave.
The suspect is not in custody at this time and no further information has been given regarding the person at large.
