1 injured, dog gets loose after crash in north Colorado Springs
A man was hit by a vehicle while walking near a shopping center in north Colorado Springs Thursday morning, and the driver says the bright sun played a role in the crash.
Police say it happened around 9:30 a.m. on Randall Drive, near Rangewood Drive and Woodmen. (MAP) The driver told police he was distracted by the sun when the pedestrian was hit.
The victim was taken to the hospital. His current condition isn’t known.
Police say he had a small dog with him, described as a Shiba Inu. The dog ran away after the crash, but police said at about 4 p.m. that it had been found unharmed.
