A man robbed a 7-Eleven early Saturday morning and left a store clerk hurt.

Colorado Springs police say the suspect went into the 7-Eleven in the 3500 Block of N. Academy Blvd. just after 1 a.m. Saturday and took a cell phone charger without paying.

A store clerk confronted the man, and the man assaulted the clerk, leaving a cut above the clerk’s eye before he left the scene on foot.

The suspect is described as a man in his mid 20’s, 6 feet tall, and heavy set. Colorado Springs police say he was wearing a Broncos coat and dark jeans during the robbery.
