Denver police detective loses daughter in fatal crash

According to a Facebook post shared by the Colorado Police Protective Association, Denver Police Detective Jared Purdy lost his young daughter Reagan while they were driving home from a hunting trip Saturday.Purdy was driving eastbound on I-70 near Limon when an elderly driver driving the wrong way on the highway struck them, killing Reagan instantly along with their family dog Elbe. Purdy sustained multiple injuries in the crash and is recovering.A fund has been set up to help the family with funeral and medical costs the fund has been set up through Rocky Mountain Law Enforcement Federal CU you can call 303-458-6660 and choose option 7, the R Purdy Memorial Fund.
