Colorado Springs police investigate overnight robberies, burglary
Colorado Springs police were called to two robberies and one burglary overnight Sunday.
The first happened a little after 4:30 a.m. on Sunday at the Baskin-Robbins on N. Circle Drive. Three suspects smashed a window on the south side of the business, took the cash register and coin safe and then left the area in a white vehicle.
The first robbery happened at 1:47 a.m. on Sunday in the area of 100 S. Rockrimmon Blvd. Police were called for a reported robbery with a weapon. Investigators say two or three suspects entered the business and one of them pointed a gun at the victim.
The suspects took an undisclosed amount of cash and merchandise and then left the area. They were last seen wearing hoodies and masks.
Less than three hours later, there was another robbery at a convenience store in the 3700 block of Randall Drive around 4:07 a.m. Sunday. Police responded to a report of a robbery with a weapon.
The suspect displayed a firearm and demanded money from the register. The suspect then left on foot in an unknown direction. Officers checked the area but could not locate the suspect.
The store clerk was not injured.
