Warm Monday with changes thereafter – 10/28/18

Tonight: Temperatures are a little cooler compared to yesterday; however, with lots of sunshine — it’s felt quite nice and comfortable this afternoon! Overnight, temperatures tumble to the 30s and 40s under mostly clear to partly cloudy skies. It’ll be dry.

Tomorrow: Monday will be remembered as warm, breezy and partly sunny. It’ll be great for getting outside tomorrow! Temperatures will be nearly 20 degrees above-average. Maximize on the lovely weather before a blast of wintry weather arrives Tuesday. We’ll be flirting with a Wind Alert Level One tomorrow. Some areas could definitely see gusts into the 30+ mph zone. With the breezes and dry weather, fire danger will be elevated. With recent moisture, we won’t be warranting any Red Flag Warnings. Even still, try to avoid any activities that could lead to a wildfire.

Extended: Tuesday afternoon and evening, there could be rain and snow (precipitation type varying depending upon your neighborhood and elevation). Precipitation will be converting all to snow overnight Tuesday and into Wednesday. There could be some snow accumulations in a few areas with healthy snow totals for the highest peaks. Be prepared for a slower drive Wednesday morning. I think Halloween evening will be primarily dry but cold. Thursday evening and Friday morning, there could be another round of a little bit of precipitation, but anything we see on those two days should be very low-impact. We stay cold through the end of the work week. Saturday warms up again before our next push of cooler air Sunday.
