Police find meth and stolen tools while investigating rollover crash in Colorado Springs

While responding to a rollover crash, Colorado Springs police found hundreds of dollars worth of stolen items and drugs.

According to CSPD, officers with the Falcon Patrol Division responded to a rollover crash near Academy Boulevard and Union Boulevard in Northeast Colorado Springs. They say two people ran away from the crash and one person stayed. Officers say the person who stayed had several boxes of new unopened tools that were determined to be worth more than a $1,000 and stolen from a local home improvement store. Officers also found an undisclosed amount of methamphetamine. The individual was taken into custody.

The investigation is still ongoing.
