Online petition calls for Halloween to be last Saturday of October

Thousands of people have signed an online petition through change.org to make Halloween happen on the last Saturday of October.

The Halloween and Costume Association started the effort and is asking President Donald Trump to move Halloween from Oct. 31 to the last Saturday in October permanently.

As of Friday morning, the petition had over 7,000 signatures.

The petition lists Halloween-related injuries, safety, family bonding, among other reasons for permanently changing the date of Halloween.
