Oregon Zoo shares amazing animal x-rays

In honor of Halloween, the Oregon Zoo is showing off some spooky x-rays of a few of their animals.

The Zoo says all of their animals receive health care exams which often times include x-rays to ensure the best care of their animals. Digital radiology has proven to be a great tool for zoos everywhere because they do not require the use of anesthesia.

Decreased anesthesia time helps lower the risk and improve the safety of the animals. They also make it easy to download the images and share them with other vets if need be.

Below is a slideshow of the zoo’s latest video, posted to YouTube. Included are x-ray pictures of a chameleon, toucan, beaver, bat, tiger, and an eagle.
