Pedestrian hit, killed on S Academy near Astrozon in Colorado Springs

The Colorado Springs Police Department responded to a fatal crash involving a pedestrian near S. Academy and Astrozon around 7:45 p.m. Tuesday.

We’re told the adult male pedestrian was killed while walking with two others. The other two were not injured.

Police are investigating whether the group was using the crosswalk during the time of the accident or not. They say the driver did remain at the scene until police arrived to investigate.

Only thirty minutes after, a person was hit while riding their bicycle on Weber and Dale in downtown Colorado Springs. The person was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
