Facebook adds music to profiles and more
Facebook is adding a music feature to allow users to add their favorite tunes straight to their profiles.
The music section will soon feature a small music streamer to let you show off your favorite music to all your family and friends.
Facebook’s also adding music to stories and feeds. All you have to do is record a clip, as you would on Snapchat, then add music on top.
As far as the selection of music you will have, the collection will be pretty impressive. Facebook recently teamed up with three major music labels to used licensed music for its videos posted by users on Facebook, Facebook Messenger, Instagram, and Oculus.
Warner Music Group, Universal Music Group, and Sony/ATV Music Publishing are all teamed up in an agreement with the social media giant. These are three of the largest/most diverse record labels in the United States.
Facebook is also working to make a deal with Merlin in order to get more indie artists on their website.
