Ben of Ben & Jerry’s giving free scoops in Colorado Springs
Ice cream company Ben & Jerry’s may be based out of Vermont, but the founders are lending support to local elections with free scoops, and one election here in Colorado Springs is getting the spotlight.
Ben Cohen, himself, will be scooping out ice cream at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at 24 E. Rio Grande. ( MAP )
The company will also be unveiling seven new flavors, including a new peach-pecan flavor called Rocky Mountain Rose, in support of Democratic candidate for the 5th Congressional District race, Stephany Rose Spaulding.
