Colorado Springs Police investigating auto-pedestrian crash
Colorado Springs responded to a hit-and-run traffic crash near the intersection of E. Platte Ave. and Boulder St. late Saturday night.
Upon arrival, officers found a man lying in the westbound lanes of E. Platte Ave. The man was transported to a nearby hospital and was treated for serious injuries.
It was determined the man was attempting to cross E. Platte Avr. when he was struck by a pick up truck. The truck left the scene.
The Major Accident Unit has assumed the investigation. Officers are asking for anyone who may have witnessed the crash or anyone who has information regarding the vehicle, and the identity of the driver, to call CSPD at 719-444-7000 or the Pikes Peak Crime Stoppers at 719-634-7867.
