Kids in Colorado can ski free in 2018-2019
The following is a list of major ski mountains in Colorado that offer free skiing to kids of various ages in the 2018-2019.
If you don’t see a particular mountain listed, that’s because it either doesn’t offer free skiing, or the prices haven’t been finalized for the season.
Many of the following deals for free skiing require registering by a certain deadline, so make sure you don’t miss those!

Arapahoe Basin – Children ages 6-12 can ski two unrestricted days for free, but must register by December 17. Kids 5 and under ski free.
Aspen/Snowmass – 6 and under ski free
Beaver Creek – The Epic Schoolkids Colorado Pack gives kids in grades K-5 16 total days of free skiing, four days at four different resorts: Vail, Beaver Creek, Keystone, and Breckenridge. There are a few blackout dates when pass cannot be used. First-timers can also get a free lesson on certain dates at one of the four resorts. Must register by a certain date (usually early October)
Big Powderhorn Mountain Resorts – One free child ticket (9 & under) with the purchase of a regular priced adult ticket all season long. All children 6 & under ski free every day
Breckenridge – The Epic Schoolkids Colorado Pack gives kids in grades K-5 16 total days of free skiing, four days at four different resorts: Vail, Beaver Creek, Keystone, and Breckenridge. There are a few blackout dates when pass cannot be used. First-timers can also get a free lesson on certain dates at one of the four resorts. Must register by a certain date (usually early October)
Copper Mountain – Kids 4 and under ski free
Crested Butte – Kids 6 and under are eligible for a free Peak Pass through November 22
Echo Mountain Park – Kids under 6 ski free. Season pass for kids 6-12 costs $99
Kendall Mountain – Kids 5 and under ski free

Loveland – Kids 5 and under ski free
Monarch Mountain – Kids 6 and under ski free
Purgatory Resort – Kids in 4th grade or younger get a free season pass good at Purgatory, Hesperus, Snowbowl, Sipapu and Pajarito during the 2018-2019 winter season. No deadline listed.
Ski Cooper – Kids 5 and under ski free
Ski Granby Ranch – Kids 5 and under ski free
Snowmass (Aspen) – 6 and under ski free
Steamboat – Kids 12 and under ski free the same number of days as their parent, grandparent, or legal guardian when a 5+ day life ticket is purchased.
Sunlight – Kids 5 and under ski free
Telluride – Kids 5 and under ski free

Wolf Creek – Kids 5 and under ski for $6
In addition to the resort-specific discounts, the ski industry association Colorado Ski Country also offers a free ski program for 5th graders. It provides 3 free days of skiing at each of 22 member resorts including Arapahoe Basin, Aspen Highlands, Aspen Mountain, Buttermilk, Cooper, Copper Mountain, Echo, Eldora, Granby Ranch, Hesperus, Howelsen Hill, Kendall Mountain, Loveland, Monarch Mountain, Powderhorn, Purgatory, Snowmass, Steamboat, Sunlight, Telluride, Winter Park and Wolf Creek.
NOTE: Most of the ski areas in Colorado that don’t offer free skiing might instead offer greatly discounted daily/season passes for kids instead, so if you are interested in a particular mountain that is not included on the above list, it’s worth visiting the mountain’s website directly to see the deals for yourself.
