Colorado Springs Memorial Park fireworks still on, roads closed near event

Memorial Park will still have a 4th of July celebration complete with fireworks. The festivities begin at 5:30 p.m. and fireworks will start at 9:00 p.m.

The event is free and open to the public.

All internal streets with Memorial Park along with many side streets will close from 2-10 p.m.

Hancock Ave. will remain open, but will close from 9-10 p.m. for pedestrian safety.

Keep in mind, the intersection of Pikes Peak Ave. and Union Blvd. is fully closed. Click here for detour routes.

Only handicap parking is allowed in the park.
