Partly sunny with isolated PM storms – 06/21/18
Today: Highs will reach the 80s and 90s in the lower elevations with the 70s and 80s for the local mountains. We’ll be dealing with partly to mostly sunny skies. There will be a slight breeze. With high pressure reigning over the desert southwest and Colorado, we’ll have relatively quiet and nice weather! We only have a slight chance for isolated storms this afternoon; however, they’re not expected to become severe.
Tonight: Partly cloudy skies are expected overnight. Lows drop to the 40s and 50s.
Extended: Tomorrow afternoon and evening, we have a few changes to the forecast. Along and east of the I-25 corridor, there could be isolated strong-to-severe storms. Large hail and damaging gusts will be the primary threat, but there could be pockets of heavy rain as well. Stick with us! For the eastern mountains, Fire Weather Watches go into effect tomorrow afternoon. There, it will be dry and windy. Avoid outdoor burning! Temperatures start dropping Sunday and Monday, but we’ll bump back to the upper 80s and upper 90s on Tuesday.
