Colorado Springs police need help in identifying suspects in attempted car burglary
Unknown males were caught on camera breaking into an unlocked car and stealing a garage door opener and then attempting to steal a car from inside the garage.
The incident happened on June 14 around 1:20 p.m. on Confederate Ridge Drive in northeast Colorado Springs. The suspects were driving a dark-colored Toyota 4Runner and were seen running up to cars to see if they were unlocked.
Police report the suspects were possibly also in the area of Shooting Iron Way, near Dublin Blvd. and Peterson Rd. The 4Runner is believed to be from the 2003 to 2009 model year, with a tail fin on top of the tailgate.
