UPDATE: Man missing from Palmer Park found safe

UPDATE: Dean Wilfong has been found safe after going missing from Palmer Park, a family member confirmed late Tuesday.

Wilfong was located at a gas station in northwest Colorado Springs. He was uninjured and later reunited with his family.

The Colorado Springs Police Department is asking for the public’s help in finding a missing man who was last heard from this morning at Palmer Park.

CSPD says 60-year-old Dean Wilfong was mountain biking in Palmer Park Tuesday morning but hasn’t been seen since. He’s described as 5’6″ and 155 pounds, he was last wearing a white shirt and black shorts.

Police are concerned he may be in need of emergency assistance because a phone linked to Wilfong called 911 at about 9:30 a.m. Family members told KRDO the line disconnected when the operator answered and that several of Wilfong’s items were found outside of his car.
