Adams County deputies find 113 pounds of meth in subwoofer
A traffic stop for speeding in Adams County ended up turning into a million-dollar drug bust this past weekend once deputies took a look in the car’s subwoofer box.
According to a Facebook post by the Adams County Sheriff’s Office, a deputy stopped a vehicle for speeding on Saturday and noticed the driver and passenger were “very nervous.” That led to the deputy calling a K-9 unit to the scene while he wrote the speeding ticket.
When the K-9, Nacho, got to the car, it alerted about a possible substance in the trunk. The deputies searched inside and found 113 pounds of methamphetamine in a subwoofer box. The post said the drugs were worth more than $1 million.
