Man enters Colorado Springs home through unlocked door, assaults resident

Colorado Springs police were called after a man entered a home on 2400 West Monument Street through an unlocked door and assaulted and threatened one of the residents with a knife early Monday morning.

The suspect was later identified as 19-year-old David Graves. Graves ran from the home and was caught a short time later in the area of 2800 West Uintah Street.

Graves was charged with first-degree burglary, second-degree assault, felony menacing, and criminal mischief. Graves was also wanted on several outstanding warrants for unrelated incidents.
