Hot with high fire danger – 6/9/18
TONIGHT: Mostly clear skies tonight with overnight lows in the 60s. Mountain cities will feel the 50s tonight and the high country will feel the 40s and 30s.
EXTENDED: Tomorrow brings mostly sunny skies and high fire danger. Red flags are out all across the southern half of the state through Sunday afternoon. The dry fuels, low relative humidity, wind and heat will all play a role. A wind alert level 1 is out so look for gusts into the 30s. Highs will be just shy of records in both Colorado Springs and Pueblo as highs warm into the 90s and 100s once again. We will be in the 80s up in the mountains. A very brief and small cool down moves in for the first half of the week, when temps take a dip into the 80s. We will be back into the 90s for the second half of the week, with spotty storm chances Tuesday into the weekend.
