Woman kicks out window of Colorado Springs police cruiser, tries to escape

One woman in Colorado Springs turned a traffic stop into a slew of criminal charges after she allegedly kicked out the window of a police cruiser early Friday morning.

Colorado Springs police say Serrabi Rucker was detained following a traffic stop in the 1800 block of N. 30th Street because she gave the officer a false name.

When Rucker was in the back of the cruiser, she kicked out the back, driver-side window and opened the car door from the outside. The officer ordered her back into the cruiser, but she wouldn’t cooperate, according to police.

The officer used his Taser and got Rucker back in custody. She was taken to the hospital before being booked into jail.

She’s facing charges for the traffic stop, obstruction, criminal impersonation, escape, and criminal mischief.
