Hot Weekend Ahead 6-8-18
TONIGHT: Any remaining shower activity will end with skies clearing overnight. Temps stay very mild dropping to the 50s and 60s by the morning.
TOMORROW: Another hot day is expected with highs reaching the 90s. Mostly sunny skies continue but an isolated storm can’t be ruled out. These will have the potential for gusty winds and hail. Winds will be breezy at times during the afternoon elevating the fire danger.
EXTENDED: Hot and well above average temperatures continue through the weekend. Conditions stay sunny and mostly dry. Isolated thunderstorms will be possible each afternoon and evening. Winds increase, especially on Sunday. A Fire Weather Watch has been posted from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday. This will likely be upgraded to a Red Flag Warning later Saturday. Cooler temps arrive next week, although they will still remain above average. Highs will be about 5-10 degrees cooler. Chances for thunderstorms will increase with higher moisture which will lower the fire danger.
