Hot weather ahead – 6/4/18

TONIGHT: Partly cloudy to mostly clear tonight with light winds. Temperatures drop into the 40s and 50s by the early morning.

TOMORROW: As we start off the day with mostly sunny skies, there is still a chance of an isolated shower or storm developing, with the strongest of those possible along the Kansas border. Another hot day is expected with highs in the 80s and 90s. 70s are expected in Teller County. Winds remain light but fire danger will still be considered elevated.

EXTENDED: The long range forecast looks fairly quiet, other than an isolated shower or storm chance on Wednesday. By Wednesday and Thursday, places in the Eastern Plains and around Pueblo could be at or near 100 degrees. Winds aren’t looking that strong this week, but times of elevated fire danger are possible with the dry air and warmth. Better rain and storm chances move in by the weekend with a slight cool down expected beyond that.
