Colorado Springs police: $13K worth of trees chopped down near Velodrome
Colorado Springs police are hoping to catch whoever decided to chop more than 20 trees in half near the Olympic Velodrome in the past week.
The city’s Park and Recreation Department called police Monday after finding that six small trees along the west curb of S. Union Blvd. were chopped in half. Sometime Sunday night, 20 more trees along the road were cut down, CSPD said in its blotter.
According to the city, the trees were worth a total of $13,000. (PHOTOS)
