Car crashes into house in north Colorado Springs

A homeowner was feet away from a car that came careening through a wall Monday morning in north Colorado Springs.

The crash happened near the intersection of Lemonwood Drive and Dublin Blvd. (MAP) when a woman in her 60s lost control of her car during a turn.

The car then went up the yard and crashed through the side of the wall through the garage. The woman wasn’t seriously injured but was being treated, according to police. The homeowner wasn’t injured.

Police say the house needs to be stabilized because of the crash.

An investigation is taking place, but police said they don’t believe alcohol or drugs to be involved in the crash.
