Marty’s Saturday Morning Forecast – 6/2/18
Today: Mostly sunny, cooler and breezy at times with high temperatures in the 70s and 80s for the plains, mainly 60s to lower 70s for the mountains. We expect occasional wind gusts over 20 mph this afternoon, but we do not expect critical fire weather conditions across the area today.
Tonight: Decreasing wind this evening, then clear and cool with low temperatures in the 40s and 50s.
Extended: Scattered thunderstorms should return to the area on Sunday, and while we do not expect severe weather to be a great threat, localized heavy rain, small hail, gusty wind and frequent lightning could occur with strongest cells. Temperatures on Sunday should remain pretty close to seasonal averages, but drier and warmer air should return to the area starting Monday. Much of next week looks hot and dry, and the wind should increase by the end of the week possibly brining fire weather back to the area.
