New Mexico wildfire causing smoke over Trinidad
The city of Trinidad in southern Colorado is covered in a haze because of a wildfire that broke out Thursday near Ute Park in New Mexico.
A large wildfire is burning through the mountains southwest of the Raton Pass, and several communities in New Mexico have been evacuated.
Smoke pouring from the fire could be seen on radar as it made its way northeast toward Trinidad.

At this point, it’s not clear if the fire will reach the southern Colorado border.
