Interstate 25 in Colorado Springs was shut down for nearly an hour late Monday night when a man was hit by an 18-wheeler near Uintah Street.
According to the Colorado Springs Police Department, the man is recovering with serious but non-life threatening injuries. Witnesses told police he went onto the interstate from the west and then ran into the middle of the road before being hit by an oncoming semi shortly before midnight.
