Colorado Springs police investigating similar armed robbery incidents

The Colorado Springs Police Department is looking into reports of two armed robberies that happened on Memorial Day at Subway and Carl’s Junior. Authorities believe both incidents were committed by the same two suspects.

The first robbery happened at the Subway restaurant at 4435 Centennial Blvd. at 7:48 p.m. The suspects drove a black colored motorcycle to the location and one suspect entered the restaurant. One clerk was working at the time when the suspect pulled out a handgun and demanded money. An undetermined amount of cash was taken.

The second robbery happened at the Carl’s Junior located at 13315 Voyager at 8:46 p.m. Suspects of a similar description robbed the business at gunpoint and left the scene with an undetermined amount of cash.
