Strong storms possible today – 5/28/18

TODAY: Most of your Memorial Day will be dry and cooler than the last couple of days. Highs will be in t he 80s in the lower elevations, with temperatures in the 60s and 70s in our mountain cities. Isolated strong to severe storms are possible in eastern El Paso County and over the far eastern plains. Gusty winds and hail will be the primary threats.

TONIGHT: Most storms wrap up by this evening with partly cloudy skies overnight. Lows cool into the 50s in the lower elevations. 40s for our mountain cities and 30s in the high country.

EXTENDED: Spotty storms are possible in areas both tomorrow and Wednesday. A couple have the potential to become strong. Highs will be much cooler, a welcomed change after our baking hot temperatures this past week. We dry out and warm up by Thursday and the fire danger will increase in response.
