Warmer Days Ahead 5-24-18
TONIGHT: Skies overnight stay partly cloudy to mostly clear. Low temperatures fall to the 40s and 50s for the early morning.
TOMORROW: Another mostly dry and sunny day is expected with very warm temperatures. There will be occasional breezes but fire danger looks to remain below critical levels. Although, it’s still best to refrain from burning as fire danger increases especially Saturday and Sunday. Temperatures remain well above average with afternoon highs in the 80s and 90s. Our mountain cities warm to the 70s. Most areas stay dry although an isolated shower or storm can’t be ruled out.
EXTENDED: After chillier conditions last week, this weekend will be much warmer with some places reaching as much as 20 degrees above average. 80s and 90s will be common across Southern Colorado with parts of the Eastern Plains warming near triple digits. Conditions stay mostly dry although isolated showers and storms may develop over the mountains. Winds increase and fire danger will become high Saturday and Sunday with Fire Weather Watches already out. Winds are likely to gust to the 30s and 40s. Temps cool slightly on Memorial Day with increasing shower chances into next week.
