Man charged for driving 117 mph on Broomfield highway
Colorado State Patrol posted a picture to Twitter of a reading from a speed radar gun Thursday pleading with drivers to slow down.
The reading shows 117 mph, and CSP said one person was caught on Highway 36 in Broomfield and charged with Speeding 40+ over the limit, reckless driving, and a lane change violation. He was described as driving a Subaru Legacy.
“Absolutely unacceptable in the express lanes or anywhere,” CSP said in a tweet. “Don’t cheat death or serious injury, arrive alive.”
The person driving the car wasn’t identified.
