Colorado Springs police catch 14-year-old and 17-year-old accused of armed robbery

Two juveniles ages 17 and 14, that each armed with a handgun, robbed three teenagers Wednesday night.

Colorado Springs police were called to the 900 block of Chapman Dr. after reports of a robbery with weapons. Upon arrival, the suspects ran into the apartment complex. After the help from a witness, the officers located the 17-year-old suspect walking between apartment buildings and chased him into another building in the same complex. The suspect broke into another apartment and attempted to hide, but was caught. The 14-year-old suspect was located in an apartment near the scene.

Both were positively identified by the victims and the witness.

The 17-year-old was charged with aggravated robbery and first-degree burglary and the 14-year-old was charged with aggravated robbery.
