Stormy Pattern Ahead 5-14-18

TONIGHT: Showers and storms are likely in the Pikes Peak Region before spreading eastward over the Eastern Plains during the overnight. Storms will be capable of heavy downpours and small hail. Low clouds fill back in overnight with temps in the 40s and 50s early tomorrow morning.

TOMORROW: Low clouds are around for the first half of the day keeping storm chances lower until the late afternoon and early evening. Temps are cooler with 60s and 70s for the Pikes Peak Region. The Plains and the Southern I-25 corridor will also see highs in the 70s with our mountain cities staying in the 50s. Storms will likely redevelop by late afternoon near the New Mexico border before moving eastward through the evening.

EXTENDED: Storm chances continue nearly every day this week and continue into the weekend. There will be a warming trend Wednesday through Friday before our next cool down arrives by the weekend. Fire danger remains elevated this week but should stay below critical levels at this point.
