Pueblo man killed in motorcycle crash near Boone
A Pueblo man was killed in a motorcycle crash Sunday afternoon.
Augustine Garcia, 51, was riding his motorcycle just after 6:00 p.m. on Highway 96, west of Boone, when he lost control. The motorcycle turned over and Garcia was thrown from it, striking a guardrail post.
Garcia was not wearing a helmet and was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
Colorado State Patrol is investigating. At this time troopers do not suspect drug or alcohol use, but say speed may have played a role in the crash.
