Afternoon sunshine with some breezes – 05/12/18

Today: Any low clouds should dissipate by midday. After that, we’ll have partly cloudy skies. It will be slightly breezy, especially along the Raton Mesa. That’s exactly where we find a Red Flag Warning in place from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. No outdoor burning in that area! Beyond that, we’ll have a tiny chance for isolated storms in northern El Paso and Teller Counties this afternoon and evening. Temperatures stay warm, ranging in the 70s and 80s later today.

Tonight: Some areas of low clouds could develop once again. Lows tumble to the 40s and 50s.

Extended: Tomorrow, we’ll have a very similar weather set-up to today’s. The southern end of the I-25 corridor will be dealing with fire danger. To the north and east of that, we’ll have some low clouds redeveloping Sunday morning (this could happen again Monday morning). Any areas of fog should clear up by mid-morning or midday. Tomorrow afternoon for Mother’s Day, we have a slight chance for isolated storms but most of us stay dry. We have better chances for storms into the middle of next week.
