1 killed when plane crashes in Douglas County neighborhood

One person was killed when a plane crashed in a neighborhood in Douglas County Friday night.

According to South Metro Fire Rescue, the plane crashed behind 11083 Pastel Pt in the Parker area.

There is one confirmed fatality and no survivors, authorities said.

At least one house was struck by debris, but no residents were hurt.

The aircraft that went down is a Sr22 Cirrus, South Metro Fire Rescue said.

Investigators are looking into what caused the crash.
